Friday, June 5, 2009 Eagles star running back and game-changer Brian Westbrook underwent surgery Friday to remove two bone spurs in his right ankle, along with some scar tissue. This is the same leg that endured a high ankle sprain in 2008, which caused Westbrook to miss one game and remained problematic throughout the season.
