Looking back at the 1998 and 1999 drafts

We're up to the 10-year mark, which is enough time for draftees from the 1998 and 1999 classes to have flourished as big league players or have gone in the opposite direction and flamed out. The two drafts were very similar in one way: Each had a first-round split almost down the middle on college and prep players. But they were very different in another manner: More than half of the first-round picks in '98 were position players, while 36 of the 51 first-round selections in '99 were pitchers. ...
