Saturday, May 30, 2009 KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Chicago White Sox purchased left-hander Wes Whisler's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday and designated catcher Corky Miller for assignment. The moves came one day after the White Sox acquired catcher Ramon Castro and cash from the New York Mets for right-hander Lance Broadway. Whisler was 5-3 with a 2.83 ERA in 57 1/3 innings for Charlotte. Activate your ESPN Profile!
