Friday, May 29, 2009 NEW YORK -- The New York Mets have traded backup catcher Ramon Castro and cash to the Chicago White Sox for right-hander Lance Broadway. Castro hit .253 with three homers and 13 RBIs in 26 games this season with New York. Castro was made expendable by the play of rookie Omir Santos, who drove in both runs in the Mets' 2-1 victory over the Florida Marlins in 11 innings on Friday night.
