This is, bar none, the worst hitting draft I have seen in the eight in which I've been involved, and probably the worst going back into the 1990s. (As bad as the 2000 draft was considered at the time, it was weaker in pitching than hitting, and the first round ended up producing Adrian Gonzalez, Chase Utley and Rocco Baldelli.)
