Nationals place Dukes on disabled list

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Nationals placed center fielder Elijah Dukes on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring following Tuesday night's 8-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dukes first injured his hamstring Friday night and then made brief appearances in games Saturday and Sunday before sitting out Monday and Tuesday. The move is retroactive to Monday.
