KITZBUEHEL, Austria -- Third-seeded Victor Hanescu of Romania rallied to beat Nicolas Lapentti of Ecuador 6-7 (6), 6-3, 7-5 on Monday in the first round of the Austrian Open. The 32nd-ranked Hanescu broke four times and will next play Marcel Granollers of Spain, who defeated Teimuraz Gabahsvili of Russia 7-6 (11), 6-3.
