Friday, May 15, 2009 CULLOWHEE, N.C. -- Western Carolina has named Illinois assistant Karen Middleton as its next women's basketball coach. The school made the announcement Friday. Middleton takes over for Kellie Harper, a former Tennessee standout who last month was named the late Kay Yow's successor at North Carolina State.
