MONICA AHANONU CATALINA FOOTHILLS  GIRLS' TRACK Ahanonu had never tried track until this season but had been a very successful gymnast. Few would have known about her inexperience when they saw her compete in a meet against Sunnyside and Pueblo on April 1. Despite participating in track season solely to keep in shape for her future gymnastics endeavors, the senior won both the 100 and 200. The wins helped Catalina win the meet.
