WHEN IT COMES TO IMPORTANT LAKER PLAYOFF GAMES, THE CLINCHER IN 1972 TAKES ALL! Very simple: Lakers lose tonight, they go down 3-2 with the series headed to Houston. That happens, and Rick Adelman may finally get the Lakers' schny ('91 Western playoffs, repeated times with the Kings, etc) off his back. As such…this is an important game.
