Delonte White is "rook" in name only

Delonte White is a team leader at Crossland High School (Temple Hills, Md.) who still carries the nickname "Rook." "He's going to be a senior next year, yet he's still 'Rook' to all the guys," Crossland coach Eric Knight said, referring to the nickname White earned as a freshman on the varsity team in 2006.
