Medina Garrigues wins Grand Prix SAR

FEZ, Morocco -- Top-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain won her ninth career title Saturday, needing just one hour to rout Ekaterina Makarova of Russia 6-0, 6-1 at the Grand Prix SAR. Medina Garrigues, who lost the final to Gisela Dulko at Fez last year, took only 24 minutes to win the first set. Makarova won just nine points in the set, and double-faulted on set point. Medina Garrigues quickly took a 4-0 lead in the second. Makarova was chasing her first WTA Tour title.
