DETROIT -- Made it to Joe Louis Arena with 10 minutes to spare. I'll spare you the details, but picture Steve Martin in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" and figure out the kind of day I had, which culminated in taking a bus through the tunnel from Windsor, Ontario, and the Canada/U.S. border, thanks to a taxi strike in Windsor.
