ESPN.com Thursday, April 30, 2009 The Detroit Lions released veteran cornerback Travis Fisher on Thursday, further signaling their plans to revamp the position under new coach Jim Schwartz. Fisher, 29, signed last spring as an unrestricted free agent, after spending the first six seasons of his NFL career with the St. Louis Rams. Fisher became an unrestricted free agent for the second time in two years and is free to sign with any other team.
