Boston U's Gilroy signs with Rangers

Boston University free agent defenseman Matt Gilroy has signed a multiyear contract with the New York Rangers. The contract is worth $3.5 million for two years, sources told ESPN's John Buccigross. Gilroy's decision Friday to sign with the Rangers caps a full week for the 24-year-old native of North Bellmore, N.Y.
