In June of 2007, Elite Series rookie Casey Ashley took a two-handed approach of docks and deep rocks and claimed victory on Smith Mountain Lake by 2 pounds over Terry Scroggins. Now, two years later, the Advance Auto Parts Blue Ridge Brawl returns to Moneta, Va., but the earlier time frame has some of the anglers thinking shallow.
