Thursday, April 16, 2009 Susan Boyle is a 47-year-old unemployed charity worker. A dowdy, almost aggressively unattractive woman, Boyle's never been kissed and lives with her cat, Pebbles, in West Lothlan, Scotland. She appeared last weekend on Britain's equivalent of American Idol, where she was cast as a sad sack of yet another myopic nobody. But then she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables.
