If you thought the NFL world was caught off guard by the Jay Cutler trade, imagine the surprise of the other two Bears QBs on the roster. Caleb Hanie and Brett Basanez both understood that Kyle Orton was going to start in 2009. But remember, Orton only had one year left on the extension he signed before 2008, so his long-term future in Chicago was unclear.
