Monday, April 6, 2009 DETROIT -- A few notes on the Spartans heading into tonight's national championship game: 1. A victory would give MSU its third national championship and second under coach Tom Izzo. The Spartans would also improve to 6-5 in Final Four games. 2. A victory would give Izzo a 15-2 record in the second game of a weekend in the NCAA tournament.
