Hopkins recovering from leg wound

Illinois football recruit Tommie Hopkins is recovering from a leg wound after being shot in his car early Sunday. Hopkins, a cornerback from East St. Louis, Ill., was reportedly sitting in his car around 4 a.m. Sunday when someone fired six rounds, striking him in his lower right leg. He was treated at a St. Louis hospital and released.
