New Yankee Stadium and Citi Field are state-of-the-art. One was the House that Ruth Built. The other was built on top of a landfill. In terms of reputation, Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium were never quite on the same level. They do share one distinguishing characteristic, however, in that both are things of the past, replaced by newer and swankier digs.
