MARINERS SIGN RHP CORDERO (10:41 p.m. ET) The closer-needy Seattle Mariners have signed veteran right-hander Chad Cordero to a minor league contact and invited him to the final weeks of their spring training camp. The Mariners announced on Thursday evening they expect Cordero to report to camp Friday. He turns 27 next week. Cordero has 128 career saves since 2003.
