CLEVELAND -- Michael Allen's layup put Ohio up for good with 1:28 to play as Ohio beat Western Michigan 62-55 in the opening round of the Mid-American Conference basketball tournament Tuesday night. Ohio (15-16) took the lead midway through the first half and held it until late in the game.
