SAN DIEGO -- Kyle Spain scored 16 points and hit two key 3-pointers to lift San Diego State to a 57-46 win over UNLV on Saturday night. Spain made 3-point shots on consecutive possessions to give the Aztecs a 45-35 lead with 6:23 left in what had been a tight game throughout. Matt Thomas's 3-pointer put San Diego State (21-8, 11-5) ahead 39-34 at the 7:54 mark, which was the biggest lead for either team to that point. Lorrenzo Wade scored 15 points for the Aztecs, who won despite shooting 35. ...
