EL PASO, Texas -- Stefon Jackson scored 30 points to lead UTEP to a 70-52 win over Alabama-Birmingham on Wednesday night. Jackson, the all-time scoring leader for Conference USA, made 12-of-25 field goal attempts and went 6-for-8 from the free throw line. Julyan Stone added 12 points and had nine rebounds for the Miners (18-11, 9-6 Conference USA). Tavaris Watts added 10. UTEP went up by 20 with 2:08 remaining in the game and led both halves.
