RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ben McCauley had 20 points to help North Carolina State hold off Boston College 74-69 on Wednesday night. Tracy Smith added 14 points for the Wolfpack (16-12, 6-9 Atlantic Coast Conference), who ended a two-game skid despite nearly blowing an eight-point lead in the final 2 minutes. N.C.
