Wednesday, March 4, 2009 MONTERREY, Mexico -- Li Na and Zheng Jie reached their first quarterfinals of the year at the new Monterrey Open on Wednesday. The Chinese players both won 6-3, 6-4 on the clay. Fourth-seeded Zheng beat Melinda Czink of Hungary and unseeded Li topped Petra Cetkovska of the Czech Republic. Zheng also downed Czink at the Australian Open, where she reached the fourth round before retiring with a left wrist sprain.
