'Too early to tell' on Bouwmeester; still no word on Bill Guerin

With Chris Pronger seemingly off the market, or kind of, barring a great offer, what about Jay Bouwmeester? A Panthers source said at 9 a.m. ET it was "too early to tell" whether Bouwmeester (a UFA July 1) would be moved. In other words, they're still waiting for the best offers. Tough call for Panthers GM Jacques Martin. On Long Island, GM Garth Snow is giving one last try to complete a Bill Guerin trade that he's been working on since Saturday.
