ESPN.com Thursday, February 26, 2009 Veteran first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz has reached a preliminary agreement on a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team announced late Thursday. The deal includes an invitation to major league camp. Mientkiewicz, 34, is a .271 hitter in 11 seasons with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Yankees, Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates.
