M'S EASING GRIFFEY IN (9:38 p.m. ET) Ken Griffey Jr. did not play in the Mariners' 4-3 exhibition loss in 10 innings against the Padres on Wednesday, four days after he signed with the Mariners. Manager Don Wakamatsu said he is being cautious with the 39-year-old slugger who had arthroscopic knee surgery in October. "He's ready to go," Wakamatsu said.
