Age more than just a number to the salary cap

The normal trend of salary cap cuts continues. Players in their 30s are being victimized. Of the first 49 players released, 28 were in their 30s. With the economy being what it is, those players will have the hardest time finding job. Because of the economy, teams are looking to do one- or two-year deals with veterans to lower the signing bonus number.
