NEW ORLEANS -- Kevin Sims scored 19 points to lead Tulane to a 57-51 victory over Marshall on Saturday. Marshall held a 49-48 lead until Sims hit two free throws to give Tulane (11-15, 5-8 Conference USA) a 50-49 lead with 2:15 left in the game. He hit two more for a 52-49 lead with 1:32 remaining. Sims, who has reached double figures in eight of his past nine games, went 11 of 11 from the free-throw line.
