Friday, February 20, 2009 TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Rockies knew, after watching Jeff Francis throw the other day, that he probably wasn't going to be part of their rotation this season. They knew that there would probably be a moment when he would finally concede that his shoulder wasn't right, and that he needed surgery. That day came on Thursday.
