KAMALAZOO, Mich. -- David Kool scored 19 points for Western Michigan, which took a 12-point halftime lead, then held off Eastern Michigan's second-half surge for a 46-38 win Wednesday night. The Broncos out shot the Eagles from the field 55 percent (12-for-22) to 25 percent (6-for-24) in the first half to build a 27-15 halftime lead.
