GREENVILLE, N.C. -- James Legan scored 20 points and hit a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left in overtime to lift East Carolina past Rice 91-88 on Saturday night. Darius Morrow added 19 points and Sam Hinnant chipped in with 17 for the Pirates (13-11, 5-6 Conference USA). Brock Young, who leads conference with 7.61 assists per game, had 17 points and 14 assists for East Carolina.
