CONWAY, S.C. -- Mario Edwards scored 28 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to help Coastal Carolina beat Virginia Military Institute 100-97 on Saturday. In a second half that was close throughout, Edwards scored on two layups for the Chanticleers (11-15, 5-9 Big South Conference) to cut the lead to 97-94 with 2:18 left in the game.
