Gamecocks showing they're game for SEC East title, NCAA bid

South Carolina is making plays to win games. And as a result, the Gamecocks are a real threat to win the SEC East and make the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2004. South Carolina beat Florida 10 days ago at the buzzer on a Zam Fredrick layup that was made possible only by a perfectly on-target, on-the-fly pass from Mike Holmes. On Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Devan Downey hit a turnaround jumper with three seconds left to give the Gamecocks a 78-77 victory over Kentucky. ...
