Elliott rides 4,000th winner

Jockey Stewart Elliott won the 4,000th race of his career on Sunday, when he guided Jake's Bandaid ($18) home by 1 3/4 lengths in the seventh race at Philadelphia Park. He won the first-level allowance route for trainer Mark Fusco. Elliott, 43, got his first career victory aboard Jack's Ruby ($108) on Jan. 31, 1981 at Keystone Park, which is now Philadelphia Park.
