Thursday, January 15, 2009 The Blackhawks picked third in the 2004 NHL entry draft. The first two players selected that year were Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin. Talk about just missing the jackpot. For those just getting back into hockey, Ovechkin and Malkin are arguably the two best players on the planet. It wasn't a total loss for the Hawks in '04. With the third pick they selected defenseman Cam Barker, who's fitting in nicely with the resurgent group on West Madison Street. But make no mistake, he'll never come clos ...
