This season, four of the five top offensive teams -- New Orleans, Denver, Houston and New England -- failed to reach the playoffs. In contrast, four of the five top defensive teams -- Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Jersey/A -- did reach the playoffs.
