Monday, January 5, 2009 I am a big believer in the "hybrid forward" in college basketball. These are the multitalented players that, before the age of specialization in basketball, we used to just call forwards. Now everyone is either a power forward or a small forward -- or a "4" or a "3" -- and plays either inside or out. Hybrids usually start out as undersized inside players, but often have the athleticism or develop the perimeter skills to become effective all-around players, making up for their lack of prototypic ...
