BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- Keith Gabriel scored 34 points to lead Virginia Military Institute in a 96-92 win against Gardner-Webb on Saturday night. Gabriel hit seven 3-pointers and was also a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line for the Keydets (11-2, 3-0 Big South Conference). Chavis Holmes added 27 points and Austin Kenon chipped in with 21, including hitting five shots from beyond the arc.
