Saturday, December 27, 2008 'Tis the season for gratitude and thankfulness. Every player in the NHL received two full days off over Christmas, but the members of the New York Islanders were blessed with a bonus gift as well. After missing the bulk of the season while recovering from knee surgery, franchise goaltender Rick DiPietro was back in net for the Isles on Boxing Day. And boy, he looked just swell.
