Friday, December 19, 2008 Samuel Dalembert is cruising Philadelphia in his brand-new, dark-gray Lexus SUV. As the sound system bumps some Bocelli, Dalembert thinks about how his new crib will look after the remodeling. Then his cell phone rings, and poof, the Sixers center is a poor shoeless boy again back in Haiti. Fine living is pushed aside by the need to keep a loved one alive.
