Friday, December 12, 2008 For as barn-burning as today's Billabong Pipeline Masters action was, did anyone find the final a little anti-climatic? It had nothing to do with the buckets of rain, or black clouds, or brown water, (felt like I was back in NJ.) Whereas most Dream Tour finals are among the highest scoring of the event, both Slates and Wardo (and some of their quarterfinal homeboys) posted bigger in earlier heats than they did in the actual final. My point is not that the final was dull, but rather uneventful ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
