Well, whether Pipe was "real," Pipe or not yesterday, the North Shore certainly does break a lot of boards. If you consider last week's monster swell, the busted stick statistics are soaring. And for all the futuristic, new, durable materials that was going to come out of the whole Clark Foam explosion in 2005, it seems that surfers (the ones from V-Land to Haleiwa this week, at least) are still riding (and breaking) traditional PU foam with fiberglass.
