ESPN.com Tuesday, December 9, 2008 The New York Mets are interested in retaining Pedro Martinez and plan to meet with the Dominican pitcher's agent, GM Omar Minaya informed ESPNdeportes.com. "We have interest in him. We're going to talk to his agent when we have the opportunity," Minaya said Tuesday, the second day of the winter meetings.
