ESPNOutdoors.com Tuesday, December 2, 2008 I flunked my first try at learning to play a musical instrument. It was fourth grade, and each kid was given a six-week class in Tonette, one of those plastic whistles about the size of a carrot, that sounds like an asthmatic flute. The purpose of the class was to see if that child had any potential for band, which started the next year. The problem was that just as the Tonette class started, I had bronchitis and missed about half the classes, which were only twice a week. Maybe that's why I lat ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
