Saturday, November 29, 2008 DALLAS -- SMU's Jesse Henderson set an NCAA record for career kickoff return yards in his final college game Saturday, a 28-12 loss to Southern Miss. Henderson pushed his career total to 2,928 yards on a 13-yard return in the third quarter. The previous record was 2,922, set by Tulane's Jeff Liggon from 1993-96. He finished with 2,945 career kickoff return yards. Henderson, a senior, had already set a single-season SMU records with 992 return yards on 44 attempts entering his final game.
