The first time I saw Brian Sumner skate in person, the dude was on fire. It was at a Tampa Am contest probably some ten years ago. Brian had his runs down. He was skating smooth and with tons of pop and consistency that I'm pretty sure got him to the finals. I never forgot the way he nailed his backside flips over the pyramid hip.
